Looking at events in time and space

This display shows births located in time and place. Each cylinder represents the births in a decade at that location; each decade has its own colour. The diameter of the cylinder is proportional to the number of births. The dataset for this display was just one I had handy; it isn’t particularly relevant to this form of display. In theory it would be possible to do this on demand, using a user-defined filter on the records from a database to generate the JavaScript code. I may do it just as a learning exercise, but I don’t know if it would be especially useful.

And there it is.
